About the Program

The aquarium's Dynamic Cycles Teacher Institute is specifically designed for teachers of middle and high school science. The program provides opportunities for teachers to:

Use real world science and cutting edge research
Implement and use real-time data from MBARI's LOBO (Land/Ocean Biogeochemical Observatory) Project
Implement new teaching strategies and standards-based activities
Explore conservation issues

Eligibility: 6th Grade through 12th Grade Science Teachers

Requirements:

Attend all sessions
Use the curriculum materials with your students
With your class, use and implement real-time data for a class project

Fee: None

Stipend: Available following completion of program

Credit: Units available through CSU Monterey Bay for an additional fee.
